A Bhumba or Kamandalu - is a ritual alter vase and blessed water pitcher. The vase normally hold a spray of peacock feathers (symbolizing immunity from life’s poisons). - the water (nectar of life) is poured from the dragon’s mouth. It is the symbol of long life and it kept on the alter. Made of brass (or some similar alloy) it is somewhat worn (not unusual given it’s age) and is in good condition. Note: the empowerment mantra (prayer) along it’s base.
